What we do with what you send us.

1 · Privacy notice

This notice explains what this website collects, why, and how long we keep it. It is written for our export customers, including those in the European Union and the United Kingdom, so it follows the structure those readers expect.

What we collect

• What you type into an enquiry form: your name, company, work email, country, and whatever you write in the message box.
• The quote number and a summary of the configuration you priced — process, material, quantity, tolerance, finish, lead time, the reference price, and the geometry figures (envelope, volume, surface area, triangle count).
• Which files you attached, by name. Not their contents — see section 2.

Why we collect it, and on what legal basis

• To answer your enquiry and produce a quotation. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering a contract.
• To keep a record of what we quoted, so that a later conversation refers to the same numbers. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running an accurate quotation process.
• To measure whether the quotation process is accurate — we compare the estimated price against what the job actually cost. Legal basis: legitimate interest, and the data is used in aggregate.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become orders: 24 months, then deleted. Enquiries that become orders: for the period required by tax and export record-keeping rules where we operate, which is currently 10 years. Ask us to delete something sooner and we will, unless we are legally required to keep it.

Who else sees it

Our own engineering and sales staff, and the infrastructure providers we use to run email and this website. We do not sell data, we do not run advertising or retargeting, and we do not share your drawings or your enquiry with another manufacturer.

2 · Your CAD files

• STL and OBJ: parsed locally in JavaScript. The geometry figures you see on screen are computed on your machine. If you close the tab, they are gone.
• STEP, IGES, DWG, DXF, PDF and native CAD files: these cannot be measured in a browser, so the engine does not try. It records only the file name, and an engineer asks you to send the file through your own email or file transfer.
• What travels with your enquiry is a geometry summary: the bounding box, the volume, the surface area and the triangle count. That is enough to price the part and not enough to reproduce it. If even that is too much, send only the envelope and a fill ratio by hand.

3 · Cookies

This site sets no tracking cookies and loads no third-party analytics, advertising or social scripts. Nothing on this page follows you to another website.

• Your colour theme and your language choice are stored in your browser's local storage, on your device only. They are preferences, not identifiers, and they are never sent anywhere. Clearing your browser data removes them.
• Web fonts are requested from Google Fonts, which means your IP address reaches Google when the page loads. If your organisation cannot accept that, self-host the three font files — the README explains how — and no external request is made at all.

Because we set no tracking cookies, this site shows no cookie banner. If you add analytics later, you must add one, and it must offer a genuine refusal.

4 · Your rights

Under the GDPR and the UK GDPR you have the right to ask for a copy of what we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict how we use it, to object to processing based on legitimate interest, and to receive it in a portable format. Write to the address in section 7 and we will respond within 30 days.

If you are in the EU or UK and you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to complain to your national data protection authority. We would rather you told us first.

5 · Price disclaimer

• It is calculated from geometry and from our internal rate tables. Where the geometry is estimated from an envelope and a fill ratio rather than measured, the quote says so on its face.
• It excludes tax, freight, insurance, duty, and any tooling or fixturing that has not yet been identified.
• It assumes the material is in stock at the stated grade, and that the part can be held in a standard set-up. A drawing that requires a custom cutter, a second set-up or a special fixture will move the price.
• It is stated in the currency shown and is valid for 14 days from the date on the quote sheet, unless the material market for that grade moves by more than 5% in that period.
• The binding document, if there is one, is the written quotation signed by us after an engineer has read the drawing. Nothing on this website replaces it.

6 · Standard terms

Your drawings stay yours

We claim no licence over the drawings, models or specifications you send us beyond what is needed to quote and manufacture your order. We do not manufacture your part for anyone else, and we do not use your drawing as a sample.

Confidentiality

We will sign your NDA, or provide our own, before you send anything sensitive. Say so in the enquiry and one comes back signed. If you would rather not send a drawing at all before an agreement exists, an envelope plus a material is enough for a first price.

Tolerance and acceptance

The drawing governs. Where the drawing and the order text disagree, the drawing wins unless the order text explicitly overrides it. Unless you specify a standard, we quote and inspect to the general tolerance class ISO 2768-m. Inspection reports are issued for every export order; independent third-party inspection can be arranged at your cost, and you are welcome to send your own inspector.

Changes after the order

A revision to a drawing after first article approval is a change, not a correction. We will always tell you the cost and the schedule effect in writing before we act on it, and work already completed is chargeable. This is the same discipline we apply to non-standard equipment.

What we will not do

• We will not print a certification mark we cannot support with a technical file or a certificate.
• We will not accept a job we believe we cannot hold, in order to keep the volume.
• We will not quote a fixed price for a scope nobody has defined.
